Welcome to Somerset's Information Sharing Programme website
If you work with children and young
people this website is for YOU. Sharing information through the Common
Assessment Framework (CAF), Lead Professional and ContactPoint (the
planned national information sharing index) is central to improving
outcomes for children and young people in Somerset. These information
sharing tools are national initiatives and will be rolled out to
schools, local service teams and a wide range of agencies during 2008,
2009 and 2010.
Information sharing tools will
better enable agencies and professionals to provide joined-up services
for children. The rollout is being managed locally under Somerset’s
Information Sharing Programme, which supports the Government’s Every Child Matters: Change for Children programme. For further information on these national initiatives see www.everychildmatters.gov.uk

practitioner’s toolkit and is supported by the CAF Coordinator – a
